Place counters (up to 10) on the table.

Ask child to count how many are there (whole). Ask child to cover their eyes while you hide (part) of those counters under the cup. Ask child to open their eyes and figure out how many are hiding underneath the cup.

Make your own Part-Part-Whole Picture.

Ask your child to illustrate part-part-whole relationships by creating their own pictures.

They might choose to draw 4 blue butterflies and 3 orange and black butterflies, which would make a total of 7 butterflies.

After illustrating, ask them to write a number sentence such as 4+3=7 or 4 and 3 make 7.
