The Student Ambassador Club is a leadership opportunity for students who are dedicated to serving and representing Morningside Elementary School.
Each year 8 5th grade students are selected to participate as Student Ambassadors. These students must exhibit:
· leadership skills
· a positive attitude
· excellent behavior
· good grades
· good school attendance
· integrity
· responsible
· a willingness to serve others
Members are nominated by a teacher, school counselor or the principal.
Student Ambassadors perform many important acts of service throughout our school. On any given day, Ambassadors can be seen assisting in the office, performing duties for the principal, other teachers, staff or the PTA.
The Acts of Service include, but are not limited to:
- Collecting items from classroom teachers that need to be delivered to the office daily.
- Working in the office on a rotating basis to help count out paperwork for Tuesday folders.
- Helping to promote PTA and school events and charity activities.
- Other activities as deemed appropriate by the selection committee.
